Msgr Antony Patrao
Life size, in a white cassock and purple sash, with his hands clasped.
About this statue
This life-size statue of Msgr Antony Patrao, the founder of St Philomena's College, Puttur, was commissioned by a patron of the college and delivered in November 2023. It stands 5 ft 8 in tall and is made for outdoor use.
He wears a white cassock and cape with a purple sash, and a black biretta, with glasses and his hands clasped in front of him. We painted it from a photograph the patron supplied.
Like every statue we make, it was modelled and cast from scratch in our studio. We take commissions of founders, pioneers and benefactors for hospitals, colleges and religious congregations: send us photographs of the person and we will quote the size and the time it takes.
Materials, sizes and delivery
- Sizes
- From 3 feet upwards, made to order. Some designs start at 4 feet, so please ask us to confirm.
- Material
- Fibreglass (FRP), sculpted and painted by hand in our studio in Mangalore.
- Colours
- Any statue can be made in any colour, for indoors or outdoors: in a natural finish (in colour) or a stone finish (one colour, such as white or marble).
- Outdoors
- For gardens and grottos we suggest a stone finish. It is easier to look after, and stays fresh for longer through sun and monsoon.
- Ordering
- Every statue is made from scratch. We give a timeline with the quotation, and orders are taken first come, first served.
- Delivery
- Collect it from the studio, or we send it by road anywhere in India. Outside India, ask us about delivery.
