Bishop Cornelius Korir
Life size, blessing with a raised hand, with a dove on his shoulder and two at his feet.
About this statue
His family in Kenya commissioned this life-size statue of Bishop Cornelius Korir from us, and it was delivered in December 2023. It stands 5 ft 6 in tall. He raises one hand in blessing and holds a silver crozier in the other, in a gold mitre and a red chasuble over a lace alb.
The chasuble carries the Face of Jesus above the words "Adorable Jesus, we adore you", and a chalice and host wreathed in wheat and grapes at the hem. A dove perches on his shoulder and two more stand at his feet.
Like every statue we make, it was modelled and cast from scratch in our studio. We take commissions of founders, pioneers and benefactors for hospitals, colleges and religious congregations: send us photographs of the person and we will quote the size and the time it takes.
Materials, sizes and delivery
- Sizes
- From 3 feet upwards, made to order. Some designs start at 4 feet, so please ask us to confirm.
- Material
- Fibreglass (FRP), sculpted and painted by hand in our studio in Mangalore.
- Colours
- Any statue can be made in any colour, for indoors or outdoors: in a natural finish (in colour) or a stone finish (one colour, such as white or marble).
- Outdoors
- For gardens and grottos we suggest a stone finish. It is easier to look after, and stays fresh for longer through sun and monsoon.
- Ordering
- Every statue is made from scratch. We give a timeline with the quotation, and orders are taken first come, first served.
- Delivery
- Collect it from the studio, or we send it by road anywhere in India. Outside India, ask us about delivery.
